Ford Maverick

About the Ford Maverick

Created with the unique needs of the next generation of truck buyers in mind, the versatile Ford Maverick is the ideal match for individuals that live active lifestyles. Making history as the first compact hybrid pickup truck in the United States, you’ll experience remarkable efficiency thanks to its EPA-estimated city fuel economy rating of up to 40 MPG**. Craving even more muscle? Upgrade to the standard 250-horsepower 2.0-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder paired with an innovative 8-speed automatic transmission and an intelligent all-wheel drive system. Upgrade the already impressive towing capacity of the Maverick to 4,000 pounds by opting for the available 4K tow package. If you’re a DIY enthusiast, you’re sure to appreciate the array of clever cargo-carrying solutions inside the innovative FLEXBED™ truck bed. Combining supportive comfort and ergonomics, the interior of this truck is packed with an assortment of cutting-edge tech features to help you stay connected on the way to your destination. Enhanced by its attractively low starting price, the Ford Maverick offers an appealing alternative for drivers looking to stay productive and chase their next adventure.

What the Critics Say

“As a package, the Maverick reintroduces the compact pickup as a legitimate option for buyers who want the added capability of an open bed without the poor fuel economy, lethargic handling, and rich pricing of larger trucks. Nicely done.” — MotorTrend

“In terms of resourcefulness, the Maverick is a star player. Consider its 54-inch long bed; smaller than any midsize truck (but longer and more useful than Santa Cruz’s 48-inch bed), it incorporates standard tie-downs, available sliding cleats, LED bed lighting, dual bottle openers and a bed wall cubby with a removable floor to accommodate more oversized items like an onboard compressor.” — Forbes

What’s New for 2024

Shoppers will discover a number of small changes to the Ford Maverick for the new model year. Most notably, the two engine options have been shuffled for 2024. The previously optional 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine is now standard while the hybrid powertrain is now offered as an available option. In terms of exterior color availability, Azure Gray and Terrain are newly available this year while Area 51, Avalanche Gray, Alto Blue, and Cyber Orange have been discontinued. Other small adjustments have been made to the feature content within the available option packages for the 2024 Maverick as well.

Ford Maverick Features

Ford Maverick Performance

Capable Performance

Representing a new era of innovation for the Ford truck family, the Maverick stands out with its unparalleled blend of efficiency and capability. You’ll experience unrivaled efficiency from a precision-tuned 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain that delivers a balanced 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) powering the front wheels. In addition to its remarkable 40 MPG city fuel economy rating and 500 miles of range using a single tank of gas**, the Maverick also boasts a standard towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. Searching for even more capability? Upgrade to the standard 2.0-liter EcoBoost® gas engine delivering 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Other performance upgrades available for the Maverick include the 4K Tow Package that doubles the conventional towing capacity to 4,000 pounds and an all-wheel drive system for outstanding control in all types of weather conditions.

Ford Maverick Interior

Premium Interior

Spacious, innovative, and crafted with upscale materials – the cabin of the Ford Maverick is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of your daily commute. Examples of cutting-edge technology features available across the entire Maverick lineup include an 8-inch center touch screen featuring Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, and FordPass™ Connect with embedded modem and Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices. Thanks to its standard crew cab configuration, you’ll enjoy spacious seating for up to 5 passengers along with plenty of useful bins and compartments for storing all of your essential items. Flip up the rear seat to reveal a massive under-seat storage compartment, great for storing and securing your most valuable possessions. Since even the most experienced drivers can use a helping hand on occasion, the Maverick is available with the advanced Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of active safety technologies to keep you out of harm’s way.

Ford Maverick FLEXBED

FLEXBED™ Versatility

Perhaps the most groundbreaking utility feature of the Ford Maverick is its exclusive FLEXBED™ truck bed configuration. Different from any other truck bed in its class, Maverick owners can take advantage of its unique ability to customize and create cargo-carrying solutions to suit their specific needs. Thanks to clever slots designed to fit 2x4s or 2x6s, you can use your imagination to create segmented storage areas, bike/kayak racks, elevated cargo floors, and just about anything else you can think of. Additional cargo management aspects of the bed include integrated threaded holes in the sides, four D-rings, and two tie-down cleats. Instead of compromising the integrity of the factory wiring harness for electrical power, the Maverick comes standard with an integrated 12-volt electrical power pre-wired to an easily removable cover on both sides of the truck bed. When the tailgate is located in the upright position, the 4.5-foot bed has a standard payload capacity of up to 1,500 pounds. This is equivalent to approximately 37 bags of 40-pound mulch. Lower the tailgate, and you’ll have space for up to 18 sheets of 4×8-foot three-quarter-inch plywood without the need to angle the panels.
